I know May and June have been hard months for playback issues. I've spent countless hours tracking down the source and I wanted to share with you all what my plan is going forward.

Due to recent issues with the host, and also some bottlenecking with the current hardware, notably the local drives in the plex server, I have decided to go with another hosting company. What does this mean for you? Well, here's the good and bad..

The Good:
one New hardware (faster) and
two a new host (hopefully much less downtime incidents). Ideally this one two punch will mean smoother playback overall.

The Bad: Moving all of the software and configuration to a new box will take some time.
one I hope to have minimal plex downtime, I'm estimating up to a few days max.
two Downloads, however, will be on hold for longer. You may have noticed there have been no new shows or movies the past few days. This is necessary to migrate the software and could be up to a few weeks while I work out the new setup. Just to reiterate, no new downloads for up to a few weeks.

I do not have a hard date for when Plex downtime will occur for the migration, but I will post updates as necessary. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
